statement 09
Once upon a time, a group of brave & intrepid guys, come in a meeting room for a brainstorm session. Everyone has nothing to say. When a brainstorm comes, people used to join the meeting for... brainstorming. But usually it doesn't work. Worst, sometimes we come in the meeting and many people didn't read the brief yet.
There's another way to do it, more efficient, more exiting. We could brainstorm before the brainstorm, start doing it first, alone. And then when we come to the meeting, it's more about sharing ideas and thoughts. We will be even more likely to build up on ideas of others. There's nothing more powerful than collaboration, co-creation and build on an idea of a team mate. What we just need to do is to leave our ego outside of the brainstorm session for a moment.
Yes indeed, usually we don't have time. Deadline gets shorter & shorter. That's why every creative should have their own workflow, not necessarely piiiiitch, but at least something they can rely on, and share with the creative team in order to brainstorm in an more efficient way.
