I thought no one in Saigon will really celebrate Halloween. I have never been so wrong. They went all-in on transforming themselves into “terrific creatures of the night”. However, one thing which may be different from Halloween in the US could be: in SG, people play with fear but in a funny way. It’s literarily a celebration. Something that defines Saigoneers is: “Work hard, play harder”.
